The session will use a selection of three minute thesis videos to discuss what makes a good lightning presentation. It will explore ways to express ideas concisely and avoid jargon. The three minute thesis competition allows the use of one slide and the session will look at the most effective use of this resource.
The session is part of a programme of free training ahead of Birkbeck's 2024 3MT Competition which will take place on Thursday 16 May. All potential 3MT competitors should attend the training sessions.

Who is this training for?
Potential Birkbeck 3MT competitors
Any doctoral researcher at Birkbeck who would like to gain skills in these areas.
This training will enhance your presentation skills as well as preparing you for the competition if you choose to take part.
Please note: 3MT Competitors must be current Birkbeck PhD students and be at least 6 months into their research studies. They must also have the permission of their supervisor.
