The (virtual) reality of the climate crisis around the world
When:
—
Venue:
Birkbeck Central
[Booking in advance is essential]
The climate crisis can feel so large and removed from our lives here relative safety in the UK that we struggle to envision its impacts and what we can do about it. Recent research suggests that VR experiences are more likely to lead to environmental awareness and attitude change than video or printed media, and so climate researchers and documentary makers have joined forces to create immersive experiences to galvanise action to combat climate change by connecting our emotions to the impacts of our rapidly changing world.
Join the Birkbeck Immersive Learning team for a 30-minute session to be immersed in Virtual Reality documentaries on the climate crisis in VR Headsets.
Session booking in advance is essential.
