Undergraduate Entry Requirements
Applicants from the Philippines will normally require:
- an associate degree with good grades, plus an approved two-year UK pre-university programme (eg IB/A-levels); students with exceptional grades might be considered with an associate degree followed by a one-year undergraduate Foundation course. An associate degree is considered to be UK VGCSE standard when awarded by institutions accredited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) or the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
- a Bachelor’s degree from a centre of excellence or prestigious institution. Graduates with good grades may be considered for admission to Year 2 of a Bachelor’s degree. These degrees are comparable to British Bachelor’s (Ordinary) degree standard. Prestigious institutions include Asian Institute of Management, Ateneo de Manila University, De la Salle University, University of Santo Tomas, and University of the Philippines.
- a 3-4 year Bachelor’s degree with very high grades from other chartered institutions or from CHED-accredited programmes.
Applicants with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or A-levels will be considered for direct admission to our undergraduate degree programmes. IB requirements range from 28 to 30, depending on the course.
Postgraduate Entry Requirements
Applicants from the Philippines would need to have completed:
- a 4-year Bachelor’s degree with very high grades (eg 1.25/5.0 at the University of the Philippines) from a centre of excellence or prestigious institution OR a 4-year Bachelor’s degree with good grades followed by a one-year approved UK Master’s Foundation Programme; these degrees are comparable to British Bachelor’s (Ordinary) degree standard.
