About the speaker: Ann Heyno

'The Oedipal Nature of Facebook: Projective Mechanisms and the Changing Role of Counselling in a Twittering World'

Ann Heyno is a student counsellor, supervisor and tutor on the MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy at Birkbeck. She is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Westminster, where she worked for 29 years. She is Commissioning Editor of the Journal of Psychodynamic Practice. She is particularly interested in projective mechanisms and roles in society, organisations and individuals and how these impact on counselling, counselling services and counsellors. In this paper she will build on a previously unpublished paper, 'The Counselling Service as a Container'.
