Birkbeck Excellence in Teaching Award
Award for Dr Lesley McFadyen
Dr Lesley McFadyen has received a Birkbeck Excellence in Teaching Award for the field school at Must Farm Quarry with the Cambridge Archaeological Unit. The BETA scheme recognises achievements in enhancing teaching and learning for Birkbeck students. The panel was impressed by the fact that the field school is particularly strong in 'employer engagement', and also because it links fieldwork with the more theoretical taught material.
