Birkbeck Politics faculty contribute to Bloomsbury Humanitarianism Crisis short course

The course takes place 11th to 15th April 2016.

LIDC, in collaboration with its member Colleges Birkbeck, LSHTM, SOAS, and UCL-IOE,  has launched a new short course. The course is due to take place from 11th to 15th April at the LIDC's Gordon Square building and is aimed at early career professionals and students who have some knowledge and understanding of humanitarian crises and who want a more in-depth understanding of theoretical and practical issues and problems that confront those working in this area. Field experience is not a requirement for participation, though we particularly welcome those who have worked in a humanitarian crisis context. Those that have no practical experience will be expected to have an understanding of key issues.

The short course will consist of five days of instruction based in London and taught in English. Throughout the course, participants will be actively involved in discussions and will be expected to participate in a final day workshop based on a real-life scenario.

Applications are now being accepted for the course, and further details are available at: http://www.lidc.org.uk/short-course-humanitarian-crises
