Birkbeck Psychology department in UK top ten
The latest Times Higher Education World Subject Rankings rank Birkbeck's Department of Psychological Sciences third in London and ninth in the UK
The Department of Psychological Sciences has been ranked 85 globally for teaching and research, in the latest subject ranking released by Times Higher Education today. As well as the strong overall position, the department has ranked third in London and ninth in the UK. This strong performance follows another top 100 ranking for arts and humanities at Birkbeck, two weeks ago.
The THE World Subject Rankings judge world-class universities across all of their core missions - teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
Professor Mike Oaksford, Head of the Department of Psychological Sciences, said: "I am delighted that our department has once again been recognised as one of the top places to study and conduct research. Congratulations to all of my colleagues whose commitment makes Birkbeck such a rewarding place to study and work."
The Times Higher Subject Rankings follow Birkbeck’s strong performance in the overall Times Higher World University Rankings, where the College’s international outlook was particularly highly ranked.
