Birkbeck Student Services partner with Citizens Advice
In 2018, Birkbeck began a successful partnership with Citizens Advice.
The Citizens Advice service provides independent assistance to individuals with problems that are complicated and overwhelming. Since the partnership began last September, Citizens Advice has been running weekly advice and casework appointments on campus for the exclusive use of Birkbeck students, and providing support to our staff in the information they give students. Students have been advised on a number of topics including: welfare, debt, budget management, housing, employment and immigration. The new service has assisted students with reaching their full potential and has become a ‘critical element’ of the holistic support Birkbeck aims to provide to its student body.
The service currently runs every Thursday during term time and can be accessed by contacting the Birkbeck Student Advice team.
