Birkbeck students can apply now to win £1,000
The Brighter Futures Grants is an initiative developed in partnership with Santander Universities that’s aimed at providing students with funding to support their studies.
For the second time this year, Santander Universities are offering Birkbeck students the opportunity to win a Brighter Futures Grant, worth £1,000.
Ten students will be selected at random to receive the cash prize and will be able to spend the Brighter Futures Grant on a variety of purposes to support their university experience, such as funding new textbooks and equipment to boost learning, or contributing towards their professional development. The grant is a £1,000 cash award paid to the winners’ chosen bank account and therefore students can choose how to use the grant to best support themselves.

As the cost-of-living crisis continues to have an impact on Birkbeck’s diverse student community, Santander’s Brighter Futures Grants help our students focus on their studies and gives them the flexibility to use the funds where they’re needed most.”
To apply, visit the Santander Scholarships platform and register for an account. Students do not need to bank with Santander to apply. The grants are available to all students including undergraduates, postgraduates, part-time and full-time students. Applications opened on Monday 14 October and will close on Thursday 5 December 2024.
