Birkbeck University of London hosts Open Day ahead of UCAS January deadline
Over 450 visitors have booked to attend Birkbeck’s first Undergraduate Open Day of 2025, this Saturday 18 January.
The event offers an opportunity for attendees to explore Birkbeck’s vibrant academic environment and diverse community, ahead of the UCAS deadline on the 29 of January. They can also learn more about how Birkbeck’s offer supports students to study for a degree whilst building their career.
The Open Day, which will run from 10am to 3:30pm at Birkbeck’s main building on Malet Street, is designed to help prospective students make informed decisions about their higher education journey. Prospective students will have the chance to:
-
Take a campus tour: led by current students, these showcase the campus facilities in Central London and provide a glimpse into student life.
-
Attend subject talks and drop-in sessions: talk to academics from various departments to learn more about the courses and research opportunities available.
-
Speak to support services: Representatives from Student Services will be available to discuss wellbeing, mental health, disability support, library services, careers services, accommodation, and admissions.
-
Find out about student finance and career opportunities: Get valuable information on funding your studies and planning your career.
-
Meet current students and alumni: Hear firsthand experiences about studying at Birkbeck and the benefits of its flexible learning model.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sally Wheeler, said: “I look forward to welcoming everyone who is interested in studying with us to the Open Day. We offer something different to most other universities – the opportunity for students to work and build their career or to pursue other commitments whilst they study for a University of London degree in the heart of the Capital.
"Many of our courses offer a range of options - full-time, part-time, evening and afternoon study, on-campus and online - to help students decide when and how they study.”
There are limited spaces still available for Saturday’s open day and booking in advance is essential to attend Birkbeck Open Days. Friends and family are welcome to attend but there is no need to register them.
