Birkbeck's courses in Creative Writing inspire a ‘voyage of self-discovery'

A recent article in Time Out lists Birkbeck's Creative Writing courses as a good way to realise your New Year's resolutions in writing.

In a recent article in Time Out magazine [Jan 5-11]  Rachel Halliburton suggested that without New Year’s resolutions  life would be a lot duller and fewer dreams realised. Statistics show that the ‘tortoise’ approach, as she describes it, of gradual steps towards realistic goals, tends to be more successful than throwing yourself into dramatic life changes.

If this is the year you’re determined to get serious about your writing, then she suggests looking at several of the courses offered by Birkbeck’s Department of English and Humanities. Both graduate and postgraduate courses are available: Creative Writing (BA and MA for 2012/13 entry) and MAs (2012/13 entry) in Children’s Writing and Screenwriting. There are also lots of short courses in writing and literature which will let you explore Shakespeare’s London, Critical Reading and Novel Writing.
