On 17 June Scott Rodgers and Tim Markham hosted Conditions of Mediation: Phenomenological Approaches to Media, Technology and Communication, in the Clore Management Centre at Birkbeck.

This event was a pre-conference to the annual International Communication Association conference, and featured lively discussion of all things phenomenological by delegates from a huge range of disciplines and countries, as well as thought-provoking and often provocative keynote papers by Prof Graham Harman, Prof Paddy Scannell, Prof Nick Couldry, Prof Lisa Parks, Prof Shaun Moores and Dr David Berry.

Tim Markham is Programme Director for the MA/PGCERT/Dip in Journalism and 4th year tutor for BA Journalism and Media.
