Cyberbullying Presentation at the ENSEC 2015

Dr Magda Marczak will be representing CSWL at the 5th European Network for Social and Emotional Competence Conference, dedicated to Social Emotional Learning and Culture, to be held at the University of Lisbon, Portugal from the 1st to the 4th of July.

Dr Magda Marczak will be representing CSWL at the 5th European Network for Social and Emotional Competence Conference, dedicated to Social Emotional Learning and Culture, to be held at the University of Lisbon, Portugal from the 1st to the 4th of July.

Magda will be presenting a talk entitled “An ecological model of cyberbullying based on the stakeholders’ perception of the phenomenon”. Cyberbullying refers to bullying and harassment of others using new electronic technologies, the most popular being the internet and mobile phone. For young people the internet is an everyday means of communication and information gathering.

The presentation will review research examining analysing the perceptions of cyberbullying phenomenon from different stakeholders’ perspectives and to explore the amount and nature of the media coverage on cyberbullying in two European Union countries, the United Kingdom and Poland.
