On the 23 January, Linking London held the second T Level Practitioner Group of the academic year and was well represented with FE and HE partners present.

After a warm welcome from the chair Sultan Soukani, Assistant Principal at HRUC, delegates heard first from Deidre Williams Head of Product Applied and Suzanne Hall, Head of Sector Development at Pearson who presented to the group giving an overview of the outcomes of the DfE’s rapid review, highlighting changes to Level 3 funding and the introduction of new qualifications. Following this a college and university partner update then followed where college partners shared information on delivering and planning to deliver T Levels, including reflections on the autumn exam series. Discussion included challenges around the T Level assessments and managing the strain on staff resources. We then had an update from the Education and Training Foundation who provided a summary of the ETF offer for T Level delivery providers and the upcoming events and support available.
After a comfort break, we heard from Alison Whittle, Technical Adviser Education and Progression City & Guilds who presented to the group giving an update on T Level developments at City & Guilds including the feedback from providers, an overview of summer 2024 results and progression to HE.
