Event report - Access to HE Diploma Practitioner Group Meeting
The first Access to HE Diploma Practitioner Group meeting of the academic year was held online on the 17th October.
After a warm welcome from Andrew Jones, Linking London, we first heard from Naz Deen, IAG Manager and Joseph Clemoes, Careers Adviser at UEL who presented to the group all about UEL’s IAG Service Supporting Access to HE Learners including what support they delivered last year and possibilities of development.
We then had a roundtable partner update providing an opportunity for partners to share the latest news from our college and university partners regarding Access delivery and HE outreach activities. Partners shared information on their Access offer and upcoming events. Linking London also hared some of the new/updated resources that have produced. All our resources are housed in our Partner Area and can be found here.
After a short comfort break, we heard from Marisa Castellini, Head of Access to HE, OCN London who presented on the latest Access and OCN London news and updates including the Access Learner data for academic year 2023/24, QAA updates and what's new.
Lastly, Andrew Jones presented on HE Admissions Requirements for Access applicants looking at UCAS data and the key findings from the Linking London mapping of HE entry requirements for 2025.
