Event report: Higher and Degree Apprenticeship (HADA) Group meeting

The first Linking London HADA meeting of 2022-23 was held on 10 November with colleagues from both partner college and university institutions.

After a warm welcome from the Chair, Darryll Bravenboer, Director of Apprenticeships and Skills at Middlesex University London, the meeting began with a presentation from Jackie Chapman, Managing Director Capital City College Training, who an overview of CCCT's apprenticeship and future developments including teacher training, new coding and new provision in logistics.

This was followed by a college and university round table update from partners on the latest news on current offer and plans going forward. Discussion included recent challenges, new apprenticeships and upcoming projects.

After a short comfort break, Sammy Shummo, Group Director of Apprenticeships LSBU, presented to the group giving an overview of the Apprenticeship Offer, Employer Engagement and Developments at LSBU including their growth journey, engagement with businesses, lessons learned and their future plans.

Lastly, Andrew Jones, Linking London, flagged Linking London's mapping of the London Apprenticeship offer in FE and HE.

The next HADA meeting will take place in the Spring term, 23 March, 2-4pm.
