After a warm welcome from the chair Andrew Gower, attendees heard from Catherine Trenchfield, Team Leader/HE Lead for the Creative Industries from South Thames Colleges Group. Catherine summarised the key findings of the research on HE student identity, supported by the Mixed Economy Group. The presentation generated some very interesting questions from the audience.

Afterwards we heard from Andrew Jones, the Director of Linking London, who listed the resources produced by Linking London available on the Partners' Area, including T Level HE entry mapping, an overview of apprenticeship offer in London, and the College HE guide for staff. He also informed attendees about the launch of TechVoc newsletter covering technical and vocational education, and about the work in progress, which includes BTEC and Access HE guides for staff supporting students, and a T Level guide for learners.

Following from this, attendees offered their updates, with concern over TEF as a running theme.

After a short break, Rebecca Mameli, the Head of Higher Education and Research, Pearson presented slides on HTQs, modularisation, and Higher Nationals Quality Assurance. Rebecca also covered the key points about the OfS thresholds. Brian Hill from Uxbridge College then expanded on the thresholds drawing on the information shared during a recent OfS webinar.

Lastly, Jakub Kowalewski, Partnership Office at Linking London, provided overview of the key findings of Linking London's latest HE in FE prospectus for London, including comparisons with previous mapping of provision.

The next meeting will take place on 16 March, 2-4pm.
