After a warm welcome from the chair, Sultan Soukani, Assistant Principal at HCUC, delegates heard first from Suzanne Hall, Head of Sector Development: Technical and Professional at Pearson, who presented to the group on T Level developments including the DfE timeline for rollout and a full overview of the summer T Level results.

This was followed by updates from the Education and Training Foundation. Oliver Knight provided a summary of the ETF offer for T Level delivery providers (T Level Professional Development - TLPD). A college and university partner update then followed, where college partners shared information on delivering and planning to deliver T Levels, and universities shared information regarding admissions arrangements and outreach support.

After a short break, we heard from Amelia Brennan, Senior Policy Advisor, DfE, who gave an overview of DfE's T Level work, including the progression from cohort one into higher education, how they have supported universities so far, support for Autumn 2022 and beyond and key challenges. Caroline Henbry from the NCFE gave a short update on their next steps following the summer core component results in T Levels.

Following this, we heard from Jakub Kowalewski, Partnership Officer at Linking London, who presented the key findings from the Linking London mapping of T Level HE entry including the T Level acceptance by T level and courses, the potential problems and good practice. The full mapping can be found on our partner area.

Lastly, Andrew Jones gave a Linking London update highlighting some useful resources that have been produced and work in the pipeline including some further T Level mapping and student guides and then the group discussed priorities for future meetings.

The next T Level Practitioner Group Meeting will be in the Spring term, 2 February, 2-4pm.
