On Wednesday 25th April, Kezia Barker gave oral evidence to the House of Lord’s EU Energy and Environment Sub-Committee. This was the first of three sessions addressing the question of the impact of Brexit on biosecurity in the UK. The impact of post-Brexit trade relations, the organisation of risk assessments, surveillance and border inspections between the EU and the UK and the implications of a ‘hard border’ between Northern Ireland and Eire were discussed.
