Lecturer wins 2013 Gulf Coast prize in Nonfiction

Jess Fenn, Lecturer in Medieval Studies, has won the 2013 Gulf Coast Prize in Nonfiction.

Jess Fenn, Lecturer in Medieval Studies, has won the 2013 Gulf Coast Prize in Nonfiction.

The winning piece, entitled 'Where We Went and What We Did There' is a lyric essay about the years Jess spent living in Alaska. The essay traces some of the many impulses behind going to remote places, and what might happen there.

'Where We Went and What We Did There’ will appear in the October issue of Gulf Coast.

Jess Fenn teaches on the BA English and MA in Medieval Literature and Culture.
