This month we saw our largest audience at our Pathways Webinar on Apprenticeships, where we had over 350 log in to hear from Rate My Apprenticeships along with our student panel talking through their experiences. To watch this back, please find the link to the recording here with useful information and advice. Apprenticeships Webinar-20241106_191016-Meeting Recording

Our Pathways Project with Birkbeck University supporting adults in the community in Camden and Newham has now finished with a total of 24 participants attending a one-day workshop.  And we are still talking to Birkbeck University and ARK Academy schools to finalise details of our projects which will support our attainment raising goals. We'll be running two projects, one with an oracy focus for year 8 students and another supporting teachers.

Our engagement co-ordinators at Coulsdon College and NCC Havering have also been busy supporting students with personal statements and applications via UCAS, offering 121 advice and guidance sessions.

Our Kick Start Sport project is still in full swing under our strategic targeting strand where university partner UCFB ran a workshop for 20 Sports BTEC students at NCC Epping showcasing careers in the football industry and the skills needed to break into this highly competitive industry. University visits are being planned for early 2025.

Kick Start Creative also saw West Thames creative students have their first visit from Ravensbourne on Careers in the Creative Industries, and now all three in college workshops from Point Blank Music and Middlesex are planned for the next coming two weeks. On site visits are planned for early 2025.
