Linking London Uni Connect Update - March 2025
March 2025 update from Uni Connect.

This month, we’ve made significant progress on several key initiatives:
APP Mapping Research Completed
We’ve successfully concluded our research on Access and Participation Plans (APP) and will soon present our findings to help universities meet their widening participation targets more effectively.
London Apprenticeships Evaluation
Our evaluation of the apprenticeship landscape in London is underway, with plans to create a comprehensive one-stop hub for apprenticeship opportunities across the city.
Supporting Care-Experienced Students
Our coordinator at NCC Havering is working closely with six Year 13 care-experienced students, providing tailored support as they apply for university placements and apprenticeship opportunities.
Kick Start Creative Project
Fifteen music students recently visited Point Blank Music School, where they explored career paths within the music industry and participated in an engaging practical taster session. Upcoming visits to Ravensbourne University and Middlesex University are scheduled for later this term.
Kick Start Sport Project
Our sport-focused students will be visiting Kingston University and UCFB this term as part of their ongoing project, expanding their insights into higher education opportunities in sports.
Attainment-Raising Oracy Initiative
In partnership with Linking London Uni Connect, Birkbeck, and Ark Academy Trust, we’ve launched a new oracy project aimed at boosting communication skills for Year 9 students. The first session kicked off with great enthusiasm from everyone involved.
