London Assembly Member Kemi Badenoch visits Birkbeck

Kemi Badenoch, who serves as a London-wide member of the London Assembly, visited Birkbeck this week, where she met with Master of the college Professor David Latchman.

Kemi Badenoch, who serves as a London-wide member of the London Assembly, visited Birkbeck this week, where she met with Master of the college Professor David Latchman.

The pair discussed issues closely connected to the college, including building and development plans in Bloomsbury, how Birkbeck is adapting its curriculum to meet the changing needs of working Londoners and recent developments in higher education policy on a national scale, in particular the Green Paper.

Kemi completed her law degree (LLB) at Birkbeck in 2009, and since then has been a member of the Transport Committee and the Police and Crime Committee in the London Assembly, in addition to representing people across London.
