This week is National Student Money Week and Birkbeck is offering students the chance to take part in a Money Master Class on Wednesday 13 February, which will provide them with clear and practical advice on how to manage their money.

The sessions will help student to feel more in control of their finances, covering areas including budgeting, planning ahead and establishing emergency funds.

Angela Dieks, Head of My Birkbeck Student Services, said: “Better management of finances enables students to focus on their studies, without being distracted by financial worries.  This master class will give students the tools that they need to ensure their financial security throughout their studies and beyond.”

Any students who are concerned about financing their course should contact the Student Financial Support Office for advice and guidance.

National Student Money Week is organised by NASMA (the National Association of Student Money Advisers) and is now in its third year.
