New book on American Foreign-Policy under Obama

Professor Robert Singh, Deparment of Politics, has today published his latest book: Barack Obama’s Post-American Foreign Policy: The Limits of Engagement.

The book has been described as “the single best book to grasp and assess the international priorities and overall foreign policy record of the Obama administration.”

Professor Singh provides an insight into the achievements and shortcomings of Obama’s foreign policy over his first term in the Oval Office. He describes how the promised dramatic changes to American foreign policy have on the one hand delivered relatively little by way of international success, and more surprisingly, how Obama has actually continued to implement many of the policies of the Bush era, particularly aggressive tactics involving military force in the cause of US national security.
