Birkbeck’s Department of Media and Cultural Studies is delighted to announce two unique partnerships with The Place and Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures.
The Department will be working together with The Place, a world leading conservatoire for Contemporary dance training and Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures, the UK’s premier contemporary dance/theatre touring company to deliver the Foundation Degree: Dance.
It is particularly exciting for our students to be working at a great institution and benefiting from the facilities and resources at The Place, as well as working closely with New Adventures' artists. The Dance Programme also celebrates their core team of practitioner tutors who bring fresh ideas and uncompromising challenge to the enquiry of the body's possibilities, dance making and the art of performance.
The Performance Programme also delivers the Certificate of Higher Education in Performance and Creative Practice: Dance/ Opera/Acting/ Music.
