Professor takes to the Olympic boxing ring

Professor Lynda Nead will be helping at the Olympics and talking boxing at the Freud Museum.

As well as her academic achievements, Professor Lynda Nead holds a boxing qualification and has worked in a boxing gym, which has led her to volunteer as a helper during the Olympics.

The only university professor on the field of play team, Lynda will be assisting athletes and coaches during events. Lynda will also be speaking about the visual culture of boxing, trying to find some productive dialogue between the academy and the boxing gym at a conference on Sport and Psychoanalysis at the Freud Museum this summer.

Lynda teaches on the BA History of Art and  MA History of Art programmes as well as supervising PhD students.
