Spring Budget 2017: Birkbeck reaction
Birkbeck has welcomed the Government's commitment to Lifelong Learning in this Spring's Budget.
Following the Chancellor of the Exchequer's 2017 Spring Budget, Birkbeck welcomes the Government’s commitment to Lifelong Learning by investing £40m in new lifelong learning pilots. The College is looking forward to constructively working with the Department of Education on this important agenda.
Birkbeck was also pleased to see guidance on part-time maintenance loans published today [8 March] and the College looks forward to their implementation in 2018/19, which it hopes will enable more working Londoners to benefit from part-time higher education.
