Stacie Friend has been elected president of the British Society of Aesthetics. The BSA is a charitable organisation that promotes study, research and discussion of art and the aesthetic from a variety of perspectives. The Society’s activities include publication of The British Journal of Aesthetics, Debates in Aesthetics, and a newsletter; an annual conference; funding for other conferences and lecture series; grants to support research in aesthetics; and an essay prize. Dr Friend previously served as the BSA vice president.
