The 12th European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology
The Centre is presenting some of our work at the 12th European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology in Athens.
The 12th European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology Conference began on the 11th of April in Athens, Greece. The Centre for Sustainable Working Life, together with partners at the University of Nottingham, was heavily involved in the organisation of the Conference. Both Kevin Teoh and Dr Juliet Hassard held active positions within the Conference Organisation Team. This includes Kevin being the Lead Editor for the Conference’s Book of Proceedings.
Some of the more recent work from the Centre will be presented at the three day conference:
Kevin Teoh will be presenting a talk titled: “Do Doctors’ Working Conditions Influence Quality of Care Provided? A Systematic Review”. Here, Kevin discusses the findings from a systematic review which shows that despite the popular narrative, there is in fact little evidence demonstrating a relationship between the working conditions of doctors, and the quality of care provided.
Duncan Jackson and Juliet Hassard together, have a presentation on “the mediating role of mental clarity in the relationship between health and cognitive processing”. The study proposes that a possible common linkage between health and cognitive performance could be explained by an emerging research stream on mental clarity, defined as a "clouding of mental operations".
