Thinking Room: an exhibition, a website and process

On the 4th July the Thinking Room launched at www.thinking-room.org. Thinking Room is the culmination of a ten month Knowledge Transfer Project (KTP) between Dr Ben Cranfield, Birkbeck and A New Direction, an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation which sits at the intersection of the arts and education sectors working strategically across London to provide opportunities for young people to access the best of arts and culture.
Thinking Room is an online resource exploring the value of partnership, methods of creative working and the development of cultural memory within arts and educational organisations. Dr Cranfield sees the project as “a great opportunity to work with the sector to develop understanding that can be passed on to our students. We are creating some exciting resources that will contribute directly to the teaching on our new Foundation Degree in Arts and Media Management.”
Dr Ben Cranfield is a lecturer in Arts Policy and Management at Birkbeck.
