9 September: Lemistry: A Celebration of Stanisław Lem

A celebration of writer, Stanisław Lem (1921-2006), best known for his twice-filmed novel Solaris. Toby Litt will be contributing alongside writers John Gray, Wojciech Orliński and Adam Roberts and film makers Ari Folman (currently filming Lem’s The Futurological Congress as follow up to Waltz with Bashir) and The Brothers Quay. Chaired by journalist and critic Rosie Goldsmith.

23 September: JG Ballard: Further Reflections
This event about the writer J G Ballard will feature contributions by some of J G Ballard’s associates and fellow authors. Speakers include writers John Gray and Toby Litt; the producer of the film of Crash Jeremy Thomas; Bea and Fay Ballard and Claire Walsh. Chaired by Philip Dodd
