University courses still available through Clearing at Birkbeck
Clearing is open at Birkbeck. Apply by calling 020 3907 0700 and attend our Clearing Open Day on Saturday to discover how studying at Birkbeck can change your life.
As students across the country find out their A-level results on Thursday 17 August, Birkbeck has places on undergraduate courses available through Clearing.
Birkbeck's teaching is mainly in the evenings which combined with its central London location makes it the perfect option for students who want to kickstart their careers through working or volunteering and support themselves financially. As on campus evening teaching is complemented by online learning opportunities that students can access at times that suit them, students are empowered to fit studying around other commitments.
Students looking for university places can apply through Clearing by calling 020 3907 0700. Further guidance on how to apply through Clearing is in Birkbeck's step-by-step guide to Clearing and on the Clearing webpage.
Those who want to find out more about what Birkbeck offers can visit the campus and attend the Clearing Open Day on Saturday 19 August from 12-3pm. Attendees will be able to take a tour of Birkbeck's campus, led by current students; listen to talks from Student Services, including student finance and admissions; meet current students to find out about student life at Birkbeck; and attend drop-in sessions with Student Services staff and academics from different schools.
Lynn Grimes, Director of Marketing and External Relations at Birkbeck, said: "Our Clearing phonelines have been busy all day, but we still have places available.
"As the majority of our lectures and seminars are held in the evening, students who study at Birkbeck are free to use their days however they wish. Many choose to work, intern or volunteer, to gain valuable workplace experience and a competitive advantage when they look for jobs after graduation, with Birkbeck graduates earning among the highest salaries in the country. Working also enables students to support themselves financially through their education, helping minimise the debt they leave university with.
"We are very proud of our 200-year history of making higher education more accessible and are eager to welcome the next cohort of ambitious students to Birkbeck in October."
You can call our Clearing hotline to discuss your situation on 020 3907 0700.
