    Biography

    Nick Pronger is a Director for several programmes and Senior Lecturer in Marketing at Birkbeck, University of London, which he joined in 2010. Prior to this he was a lecturer at several universities including Central European University (Budapest), Regents University (London)  and University of Essex.

    He has taught and consulted in countries including Israel, Hungary, Bulgaria, Spain and Mexico. He has also worked with and advised a number of companies including Nestle, Dow Chemical, Del Monte, and Olivetti.  

    Although Nick’s focus is on teaching and developing curriculums he also consults and researches into the arts and creative industries, particularly in film management and marketing and how standard business models need to be adapted to arts and cultural environments. Recently he has developed a new module in Arts Marketing, drawing on his experience as a theatre production manager in the 1990’s and is currently writing a book on arts marketing.

    My core research interests are in the arts. Particularly in theatre and film marketing. I also have an interest in lecturing and HE education participation in both face- to- face and online platforms

    Teaching

    I teach on a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate business modules. In the past, I have also taught across a range of marketing and management modules in strategy, leadership, entrepreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprises. I also have many dissertation students who I supervise at both UG and PG levels.
