    Biography

    Alanna is a Lecturer in Environmental Geography and Programme Director for the MSc Climate Change programme. She joined Birkbeck in 2023 and is passionate about teaching and supporting students through their educational journey and beyond.

    Prior to joining Birkbeck, Alanna conducted research on land-atmosphere interactions in forests and peatlands in Canada and the UK, respectively. Her teaching philosophy emphasises research-informed teaching and experiential learning.
