Top reasons to choose Birkbeck

Birkbeck helps anyone who has the ability and drive to succeed to access an excellent university education, regardless of their circumstances, and we've been doing so for over 200 years. We pride ourselves on the diversity of our student body and the value this brings to our learning community.

We're experienced at providing flexible learning and we offer a range of options - full-time, part-time, evening and afternoon study, on-campus and online - to help you decide when and how you study.

study that fits around you

The majority of our courses run in the evenings with classes between 6pm and 9pm. This allows our students to fulfil their other commitments during the day and study with us in the evening.

From autumn 2024, we also have a selection of courses available to study in the afternoons, between 2pm and 5pm. Explore which of our courses offer daytime timetables.

In addition, we have options to study on-campus, online or flexibly with some study online and some on-campus, so you can select a course and study option that fits around you.
