Choose your own timetable
How does Choose Your Own Timetable work?
For a number of our undergraduate courses, you can choose your own timetable and attend classes at times that work for you, making it even easier to work and get a head start with your career while you study, or coordinate your degree with other interests or responsibilities.
On our choose your own timetable courses, you can choose when to study each of your core and compulsory modules. Depending on your personal commitments, on a module by module basis, you can choose to study either in the evening between 6pm and 9pm, or in the daytime between 2pm and 5pm or a combination of both. Note: BSc Biomedicine and BSc Biosciences with Management afternoon sessions run 1-4pm because of lab setup requirements.
You will also be able to choose an evening or daytime session for some optional modules, however there may be some optional modules that are only available in the evening.
Additional flexibility
We're also introducing Hyflex technology into most of our classrooms, so for many classes, you'll be able to join teaching sessions online and take part in them fully alongside students in the classroom on campus.
If you receive a student loan to fund your tuition fees or are an international student, you are generally required to attend teaching sessions in-person on campus to comply with the conditions of your loan or visa, but you'll still be able to choose online attendance for some of your classes.
