Population, Environment and Resources Working Group

The Population, Environment and Resources Working Group (PER) examines global connections between population, environment and resource dynamics and their links to politics.

This is an interdisciplinary research group that explores the interplay between politics on the one hand, and geography, demography and ecology on the other.

The group's purview takes in political demography, food security, resource conflicts and related fields. Historical and social aspects of these problems form an important dimension of our enquiry.

A variety of events are hosted throughout the year, many of which are open to the public as well as students and academics.
