BISR and the Institute of Psychoanalysis Summer School
The Summer School is a three-day introduction to key concepts in psychoanalysis, providing attendees with an opportunity to meet practicing analysts who will lead seminars and discussions about current topics in the field. The Summer School was established in 2015 by the Institute of Psychoanalysis in partnership with the Birkbeck Institute of Social Research, and takes place each year at Birkbeck's Bloomsbury campus.
The Summer School aims to make psychoanalytic ideas accessible to a wider public. It is open to everyone, including current undergraduate and postgraduate students from any discipline or background. You do not need to have any prior knowledge or experience of psychoanalysis to attend.
