About the lab
The Affective and Cognitive Neuroscience Lab investigates cognition and emotion, particularly emotional information processing and its effects on cognitive processes, including:
- attention
- cognitive performance
- interpretation
- memory
- reasoning.
Our lab uses a wide variety of cognitive and neuroscientific methods, including:
- behavioural reaction times
- eye-tracking
- electro-physiological methods: electroencephalogram (EEG), event-related potentials (ERP), psycho-physiological methods (eg skin conductance and heart rate variability)
- functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
