  • Professor Lynne Segal: Lynne Segal was appointed as an Anniversary Professor of Gender and Psychosocial Studies at Birkbeck in 1999 and worked in various departments in what is now the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. During that time, she taught and published widely on feminism, sexuality, shifting gender relations and political belongings. She retired in 2020, and now partipates in various Gender Institutes in the UK, across Europe and elsewhere, and is on the advisory boards of various journals in gender studies as well on the editorial board of New Formations. She continues to publish widely, most recently on feminism, ageing, interdependence and care. Her recent books include Out of Time: The Pleasures & Perils of Ageing (2013); Radical Happiness: Moments of Collective Joy (2017); The Care Manifesto – co-authored with the Care Collective (2020) and Lean on Me: The Politics of Radical Care (2023). She is currently writing and speaking on Radical Friendships, Love and Solidarity, as well as on ways of working for peace in Israel/Palestine. .
