Team Birkbeck students are enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated ambassadors, who promote Birkbeck on a number of digital platforms, and represent the College at a variety of events and activities, including Open Days/Evenings, HE and school fairs, and campus tours.

Examples of Team Birkbeck roles
- As a Team Birkbeck student, you are able to work on a number of different and exciting projects that take place either online, at Birkbeck or further afield.
- Here are just some of the ways you can get involved:
- Produce content for a variety of channels including social media, Birkbeck's Unibuddy chat platform, the College website, blogs, vlogs, email and any other channels.
- Assist at events such as Open Evenings, UCAS conventions and Offer Days - welcoming visitors, answering prospective student enquiries and offering general logistical support.
- Deliver campus tours.
- Represent and promote Birkbeck on the online platform Unibuddy, providing information, advice and guidance to prospective students by answering general enquiries within 24 hours.
- Facilitate workshops and presentations to secondary schools and FE colleges.
- Feature in promotional videos, sharing your Birkbeck experience with both fellow and prospective students.
- Represent the College at any other events and activities that occur during the year.

- A highly competitive rate of £13.93 per hour and you will also receive £1.68 per hour, according to the hours worked, for annual leave - this is above the London Living Wage.

Information for staff
Hiring Team Birkbeck
- Staff are able to request Team Birkbeck for their activities.
- Departments will be charged for using the service at the rate of £15.61 per hour per Team Birkbeck Student.
- If you wish to use this service, please email Team Birkbeck and Krishna Tirbhowan with the following information:
- event or activity name and a brief overview
- date and time of the event or activity
- number of Team Birkbeck students required
- which types of students are needed (i.e. undergraduate, postgraduate, international)
- any specific skills required
- number of hours they will be required to work (please note that shifts will need to be at least two hours in length)
- dress code.
- All requests must closely follow the main duties of the position as listed in the job description and must be made at least two weeks in advance.
- Students will have received extensive training at the start of the academic year. However, you are able to give them additional training if a specific role is required.
